Terms of Service - Poise Sport & Remedial Massage

In Plain English - What You Need to Know

At Poise Sport & Remedial Massage, I aim to make everything clear, fair and simple:

  • Booking: Appointments are confirmed once payment or a massage plan is in place.

  • Payment: Payment is due before your appointment. Plans are usually paid monthly or in full at the start.

  • Cancellations: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Cancellations made with less notice will be charged in full.

  • Health: If you’re unwell (including COVID or flu symptoms), let me know — I’ll happily rearrange your session.

  • Rehabilitation: If you’re on a massage plan, you’ll receive a personalised rehab plan with easy-to-follow exercises.

  • Confidentiality: Your information is private, stored securely, and never shared without your permission.

  • Support: If you have questions at any point — before or after your appointment — please contact me. I’m here to help.

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 October 2025

1. Overview

These Terms of Service explain how I work with clients at Poise Sport & Remedial Massage, including how appointments, payments, and cancellations are managed. My aim is to make everything clear and fair, so you always know what to expect.

If you ever have questions about any part of this policy, please get in touch at gail@poiseremedialmassage.com or via the contact form on this website.

2. Payments

Payment is required before your appointment begins. For massage plans, payment is due at the final session of any existing plan unless we’ve agreed otherwise.

Clients currently on a plan or within three months of completing one will keep their existing rates. Prices may occasionally be updated, but any changes will only apply to new or returning clients.

Monthly plan payments are taken on the agreed date for a minimum of three months and will continue until either of us confirms in writing that the plan should end.

3. Booking Appointments

Appointments are offered on a first come, first served basis. Once you’ve purchased a plan, I recommend booking all your sessions in advance to secure your preferred days and times.

An appointment is defined as the time allocated for massage. Appointments cannot be held or reserved without an active plan. Any unused sessions can only be extended beyond your plan’s validity period at my discretion (see below).

4. Appointment Attendance

To get the most benefit from your treatment plan, please attend all sessions as scheduled. Each plan is carefully designed to help you progress safely and effectively.

If you arrive late, your session may be shorter so that the next client’s appointment can begin on time. Repeated lateness or missed sessions may affect your progress and any no-risk guarantee that applies.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged the full session fee, or the session will be counted as used from your plan.

  • If you are unwell (including symptoms of COVID-19), cancellation fees will be waived. Please let me know as soon as possible and confirm in writing.

6. Massage Plan Validity Periods

Plan Name Validity Period
Standard ‘Me’ (initial) 6 weeks
Standard ‘Me’ (maintenance) 3 months
Flexible ‘Me’ 6 months
Ultimate ‘Me’ 12 months

Your plan expires at the end of its validity period, including any missed or late-cancelled appointments. Sessions are spaced to support recovery, rehabilitation, and progress.

7. Rehabilitation Plans

Massage plan clients receive a tailored rehabilitation plan created via Rehab My Patient. These plans include clear instructions, photos, and videos to help you follow them safely.

All rehab plans comply with GDPR and are designed to complement your treatment sessions and support your recovery between visits.

8. Aftercare

You’re always welcome to contact me after a session with questions or concerns. Recovery from injury is a shared process — I’ll provide advice and guidance, and you are responsible for following any recommended self-care or rehabilitation.

I cannot accept responsibility for delayed recovery or re-injury if advice is not followed.

9. Working with Other Practitioners

If you are receiving care from another health professional (for example, a GP, physiotherapist, osteopath, or chiropractor), I am happy to work alongside them to support your recovery.

If I believe referral to another professional would be helpful, I will discuss this with you first. You are responsible for any fees charged by external practitioners.

10. Confidentiality

Your information is handled in line with GDPR regulations. Please see the Privacy Policy for full details.

Your records are confidential and will only be shared with third-party healthcare professionals with your explicit written consent.

If a formal report is requested by another agency, a £60 fee will apply, payable by the requesting organisation.

11. Updates to These Terms

These Terms of Service are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain clear, current, and fair. The latest version is always available on this website.
